Destin Florida Foreclosures: January Report: 2010 vs 2011

Below I have provided a graph that outlines all activity in our market for January 2011.  The area defined is Walton County, which includes parts of Scenic Hwy 98 in Destin, all of Sandestin, and all of Hwy 30A (Watercolor, Blue Mountain Beach, Seaside, Rosemary Beach, Seacrest, etc…).

A few key points are:

(A) A 27% increase in single family and condo sales over this month one year ago.

(B) Double the amount of Destin area foreclosures on the market over this time last year.

(C) HUGE decrease in the amount of homes filing for foreclosure or “lis pendens”

(D) Please understand that these foreclosure numbers are majority foreclosed vacant land *ask for specifics*
